There stood Dahn, wearing his purple t-shirt and black pants and, of course, his key. He wore his key around a chain, ever present on his neck. The key itself was of an old-fashioned style, and did not open anything. It was given to him by his sister, Sara, on his fifteenth birthday.
Dahn had just woken up, so was still observing his surroundings with his tired, droopy eyes."What..What the hell! This, This ain't where I fell asleep!" exclaimed Dahn. Dahn likely was right, as he had awoke in the middle of a intersection, full of a mixture of cars and pedestrians. "A..AHH!" he yelled, avoiding a car, "Ya can't just run me over!"
"They can't hear you." someone said, "You should have know about that rule. Rule number 23, Those in the world above can have no interactions with those below. A P13 or P14 may be administered at those who attempt to subvert this rule."
"What do you mean, they can't hear me! There standing right there. Also, what rules are you talkin' about?" demanded Dahn. "I ain't in a game or anything, what rules would I 'ave to follow? An' who are you, hidin' in the shadows?"
"I suppose this is fair." said the boy stepping out from behind a group of tourists, "I am Kyle," Dahn examined the child who had appeared behind him. He stood at over 4 feet. His clothing was not very interesting, a blue jacket over a gray shirt and jeans. Dahn noticed that he only looked about 12, but said nothing out of fear of the child, who seemed to know something about where they were, leaving him."but, who are you?"
"Me, I'm Dahn" He said, standing up straight, "son of the Military General, General Kunnin."
"Dahn...Nice to meet you" said the short redhead."Well, I believe were expected at the city plaza, there should be someone there, waiting for us."
Onward walked Kyle, toward a group of skyscrapers. "Wa..wait for me kid." huffed Dahn, trying to catch up.

Ugh, I feel like crap. I'm so damn tired. I've been going to sleep early and waking up later, but it doesn't help. Any suggestions?

TF2 + unexpected problem = sad panda

Posted by giantpanda May. 3, 2008 @ 9:01 AM EDT

So, I ordered TF2 from bestbuy. I had checked the SR, and I thought I met all of them. No such luck, the first problem was that my comp doesn't support DVD-roms. So, I had to load all the files on my freinds new computer, and bring it to my computer via Flash Drive. About twenty minutes later, I find that I lost my 2gig flash drive, and some of the files on the disk were 1.5 gigs. So, I had to wait until my dad got home to ask him where his external hard drive was. I got it, and transferred the last of the files to my computer. So, I begin installing everything. about half an hour later, I begin to boot up the game. Waiting.
Waiting. Waiting. A error message pops up. "Team Fortress 2 requires a graphics card that supports at least pixel shader 1.1" So, I begin trying to find out what card I have, as perhaps I could get an emulator instead of buying a new graphics card. It took me 10 minutes to find. I have some really sucky radeon card. I also found out the an emulator wouldn't help with that card. I'm going to bestbuy tomorrow to buy a new one >.>

Grah!

Posted by giantpanda Apr. 13, 2008 @ 8:21 PM EDT

I've long been disappointed by MMORPGs. Being that I'm playing online, I expect that I will be able to actually play with other people. I haven't found a game with real interactions. They seem more like single-player games with a chat system and the occasional pvp. What if there was a game that you had to work together with other people. Some of you may know the game Growlanser: Heritage of war, Imagine that, but each character you can switch to is a different player, where you have to go through different dungeons together, with you whole party, or its impossible to go through.
Ideas, ideas, I'll make some sort of game simmilar to this soon, in a hobbyist language, maybe eventually make it more-real-ish
